I have just booked a holiday home in Santa Pola. We haven't been able to visit since 2019 due to the pandemic and just wondering how it has impacted on the bars, restaurants and shops in the town. Have businesses managed to survive the disruption or are there a lot of empty premises?

I was in SP a few weeks ago and bars and restaurants were open, some requiring a mask bu not very strict.

Some shops & bars have shut in the last 2 years but there have been a couple of new ones open up. Overall , it’s pretty much the same . The town square has lost 2 of its bars making it lose some of its buzz but, yet again , a couple have expanded tables across the road onto the square .
Don’t worry, it’s still alive & kicking !
