Can anyone please tell me if Spain has a similar pet chipping register to the UK? If so, can we simply transfer the details or do we need to have our dog re-chipped?

We got our vet to do it when we arrived here, she charged €15 each. She even put her number as one of the emergency contacts.

UK hip[s work here but you need to get your vet to register the dog for spain. Take your and its passport and you will need a Spanish phone number +44UK ones are not acceptable
