Hi all,

I'm currently living in Gata de Gorgos, near Javea.

I have a lovely house, but with 2 dogs, I would love to have more land, where they can run free.

I'm single, so safety is an important issue, also help in the house, to repair things...

How is it, living in Sax? Is it safe for a single woman, if you live in the country....

So many questions, big leap of faith if I would move to the enviroment of Sax (living for 2 years in Spain now, just getting to know everything here ;-) ), but I'll start with this one :D

Any Belgians there as well?

Thank you!

Saludos

Brigitte

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

The question was if it is safe to live on the campo as a single woman.

I'm Belgian myself, so I wouldn't mind if there are other Belgians in the neighbourhood :D

I will watch out next time how I write my message :D :D

Hi Brigitte,

I live in the campo in Salinas which is close to Sax. I live alone with my animals and I feel very safe. I have never had any issues at home or when I am out at night. It’s a fabulous area, and the Spanish are very friendly and helpful. If you come to live this way, i hope you love it as much as I do. Good luck. Jan.

Hello Bridget.

We moved here exactly a year ago in Campo. Compared to the coast the climate here is different.  Winters are colder and the air is drier. The area has it's beauty but not as green as a coastal town would be. Spanish people are very helpful and friendly here.

Sax is a working town so don't expect a lot of glamor. But it is well connected to Alicante, beaches and airport. There is also a good vet clinic.

Best thing to do is visit and stay around for a few days if possible.

I hope this helps
