Dose anyone know what the opening hours are at Sax Town Hall. And is it easy to obtain residency without a solicitor ?

Depends on your nationality as last I heard no appointments are available for Brits until there is clarity over Brexit.

It is for Residencia. You should check on the policy in your area regarding the Padron. In some areas you cannot register on the Padron until you have your Residencia while in other areas you need to be on the Padron when applying for Residencia. All confusing I know.

Residency, although other posters have said they have had problems getting on the Padron. As the Padron is a register of all permanent residents, Residency is linked. It would be good to know how others are getting on with the Padron as all town halls seem to act independently.

As described above.

For padronista only....Sax town Hall. normally mornings. (Thanks RayD) !

Required docs.

NIE (together with passport).Direcion (ie: address) Utility bill, Suma etc.

I read with interest the difficulties re residencia appointments. (normally obtained in Elda (policia local). The padron seems to have no probs at the moment. I was in last week. 5 minutes.

And just to clarify, the Town Hall will do your Padron but not your Residencia.

Residencia is done at the nearest Policia Extranjeros, someone in Sax or on here will tell you where that is. I used a Gestoria to make my appointment and present the application in advance, but I went to the appointment on my own and it was fine.
