Hi
I have a non residents bank account with Sabadell, they have just introduced a quarterly
charge of 30 euros which has gone up to 35 euros
Does anyone know any other bank which has no bank charges or at least cheaper than
Sabadell?
Thanks
Darrel

They have always had a 1/4ly charge which has just gone up to 35e.
Unfortunately as non residents in Spain this is just one of those charges we need to suck up.
As other replies say quarterly fee is common across all banks and has increased, if you are resident then no fees if you deposit 700€ a month.

Hi I have replied to this subject many times and unless you have a mortgage there is no need to have a Spanish bank account, i have had a villa in Spain for 15 years and have not had a Spanish bank account for 14 years

Hi, We have had this conversation before, do not forget we are answering people who are non residents, i do not understand your conveniance argument, i have all my utilities delivered online, i then pay them via my Halifax Clarity card with no FX fees, i have a Santander account in U K which allows me to withdraw cash in Spain with no FX fees so why would anyone want a Spanish bank account that charges a quarterly fee and on top of this charge FX fees, to me it is an absolute no brainer, believe me doing it my way saves me in the region of £400 to £500 a year, i appreciate if you are resident in Spain and not in U K you cannot have a U K bank account but as i previously said we are advising people who are non residents

I know there can be charges but for Sabadell to just hike the price whenever they feel like it without even informing their customers is a disgrace I opened my account in 2016 the quarterly charge then was 24e last year to 30e now 35e this is a 40% increase in the 30months I have been with them so I think they believe we should all just suck it up or maybe its more a case of bend over and take whats coming

yes but you have to register with each 1 individually in order to receive facturas online, send Iberdrolla and Aguas de Alicante an email to request it you can send it in English and they will reply in same language, and with Suma you need to go into your local office to register for a digital certificate [Digital Certificado] and that enables you to receive all tax facturas and motoring fines etc, if you are unlucky to get one online and then pay with your card
Thanks very much for your help and advice mate
I believe the interest rates go up and down in Spain also without customer consent and my UK bank has never charged me for anything and never increased anything without letting me know before hand and has never slapped a 40% increase in 30 months on anything so I would go with my UK bank every time
