Hi Jack,

As I said previously, you're an EU citizen so you don't need to show €40,000 in the bank, but it won't do any harm.  If you already have an NIE and own your own home, it will be very straightforward to obtain your Certificado de Registro.  When you're ready to make the move permanently, just ask for gestor recommendations in your area and they can help you make the application.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Steve,

Great info at the link you've provided 👍

However, it is worth noting that while some Gestors may have a professional qualification, typically they do not. Their expertise is in "greasing the wheels" of Spanish bureaucracy and it's because they are not professionally qualified that they cannot charge, for example, a lawyer's or tax advisor's hourly rate.  That's why I suggested Jack asks for recommendations in his (and your 😉) area, to ensure he doesn't end up with a 'fly-by-night' who takes his money and does nothing for it.

Kind regards,

Kim
