I Bank with Sabadell and pay no charges whatsoever. Speak to them about switching to an exposion account. You need to pay in 700€ a month and they do not make any charges on your account even for direct debits. If by paying in 700€ each month your account builds up you can just withdraw at the end of the month and pay back in at the beginning of the next. Hope this helps

So sally just to clarify, as long as you’re seen to be putting 700£ each month (and say only 200£ is needed to pay DD’s etc ) can you withdraw the 500 within the month, top it up to 700 for the following month and repeat ? Is transferring back and forth expensive? Thanks sorry to jump in x

Hi, Sabadell give you a debit card but there is no charge for this either. Better than carrying money around with you. We use Transferwise , see their website , to send money from England and they transfer within 2 hours on banking days at a good exchange rate and at a fraction of the commission charged by a lot of others. Works for us and have been using them for a long time now. Hope this helps.

Hi sally, that’s a good idea, but as non resident I’m wondering the best way to draw out and pay back in??
