Banking in Torrevieja

We already have a Spanish bank current account with Sabadell. We are non residents and are charged 130€ per year. Are there any other banks that are cheaper to have a current account with?

As a non resident you could change to the Sabadell Expansion account, however you will need to transfer 700€/month not to occur charges, if this is not suitable I have read Bankia do an online account with no charges, but I would check with one of the branches

Bankia do a free banking service for non-residents but I have been trying for weeks to open this online. It asks for a DNI or NIE number but no matter how I enter this I keep getting an invalid format message. I've tried contacting Bankia by phone and email but they are as helpful as an ashtray on a motorbike. If anyone knows of solution to this I would love to know.
