We're heading over to Torrevieja in October to stay for Winter and I'm hoping to be able to sort out a TIE.

I have been able to set up a Spanish bank whilst in the UK (at https://www.caixabank.es/particular/holabank/home-holabank_en.html) and I have to turn up in person to a Spanish branch within 3 months to confirm this account.

That appointment has now been set up and I've been asked to bring along 'document economic'.

What does that mean?

I assume proof of income, bank accounts in the UK, passport - anything else that the Spanish banks like to see?

I'm keen to make sure I bring along all the correct paperwork with me when I depart the UK, so any guidance appreciated.

Many thanks, Paul

Hi Paul

We recently opened an account with Sabadell and were asked to also bring our latest P60 and UK utility bill - we took our Council Tax bill.

Regards

Lou

Did you open the account with sabadel online from the UK?

No. Our abogado made us an appointment for the day after we arrived in spain. The whole process at the bank was very easy though.

Lou

Hi we are with caixa bank. They will need to take copies of your NIE for all names on the bank account and passport.

Hope this is helpful
