No as the airport bus is not part of the Torrevieja municipal bus company. You can buy it the Torrevieja bus station when you get there. 2 euro for the card and a 20 euro credit which you can top up at the bus station or on the municipal buses.

There is no ticket office at Alicante airport.

I'm not replying to the original question but this seems to be the most recent post regarding a Tarjeta bus pass. My question relates to the bus pass. Is it still available as I tried to get one from a driver in La Mata today and she said that the Tarjeta cards are no longer available. Is that correct or could she not be bothered to issue one.

Last year I was advised that there is/was an overhaul due ,of the full system. Maybe they have started this?

👋 Hello

We are coming over mid April and were wondering if the Tarjeta card was still available? We are non residents and had been paying €1.55 on each journey. Can anyone advise the current system as we won’t have a car. Is the Tarjeta still the way to go or is the multi travel  bus voucher (20 trips which can be topped up) available for non residents? Many thanks.

Hello

The card is called a Mobilis bus card!

The word 'tarjeta' just means 'card 'in Spanish and as there are other types of  cards (for residents) it might add to the confusion for a Spanish bus  driver as you aren't saying the type of card you want.!

I witnessed a family asking  last week for a tarjeta card ( card ,card) & stepped in to explain to the driver who  then sold them what they actually wanted.

Cheers

Thanks for the clarification. Would have been very confusing indeed! Will  the Moblis bus card be phased out or is the new system coming into use soon?
thanks. Fx

Hello

The new system will eventually change all the bus card types but still with advantages for  both residents and non residents.

Dont hold your breath as the new system is 2yrs behind the original launch period due to the excavation & archeological digging  of the old bus interchange in town  & temporary bus stops in use.

My old residents bus card has not been renewed for over 2years!

Cheers
