Thanks Linda, did download the app few days ago, but did not work, then read reviews on Google play and noticed other people had problems when using it on 3uk, which is what I have unfortunately :( , also notice 3uk drops a lot out here, so will probably get a Spanish pay as you go SIM for using when out in future.

Good news is getting quite good at using the buses now lol

Bus services in and around Torrevieja are excellent and great value. We use them regularly and they are a great way to explore different areas. Well done.

Just had a look at a property in Algorfa, estate agent did not think they have a bus to service to Torrevieja, did ask a local while there, but they just shrugged there shoulders and said "sometimes " ?, anyone know ?

As a regular on the buses perhaps you can offer advice on tickets.  We have only made a couple of journeys on Line G to La Siesta and back and paid the 1.30 Euros each way.  Is there a better way?  For example, can you buy a monthly ticket for example, and where from.  We are home owners in LS but not yet residents so I presume I cannot avail myself of over 65 free travel until we are.

When you sus it out you will find its first class and free to people on the padrón. Many people moan aboutTorrevieja but the bus service, hospitals, beaches, sports center and many other things are certainly 100%. Well done Torrevieja.

Hi if you go to the tourist information in torrevieja you can get a bus timetable with all the bus routes and times on it. They have one for winter and one for summer.

That seems so expensive! We have a house in Altos del Limonar too and we have used the taxis a lot. It’s cost us between €7 and €8 from the marina end and around €10 and €11 from the far end

Thanks - already done that a few weeks ago.  It was information about bus fares that I was looking for (ie can you get books of tickets, season tickets etc).  At the moment we are not there long enough for it to be an issue.  I was just seeking general information from those who travel regularly.

Based on our ONE bus journey into Tv and back to La Siesta, I thought 1.35 each way was a bit expensive.  I understand that is a flat fare no matter how many stops you travel.

Just when I thought I had cracked the bus thing, came out of Carrefour today and naturally assumed the bus stop on the right side of the road would be Torrevieja bound, but no, nice round trip to St Luis lol, but was a lovely evening and a pleasant trip
