Hi, has anyone used their temporary sip card over 6 months old from issue date to get their booster Covid jab at Torrevieja hospital recently. I do not want to queue and then get turned away if my temporary sip card has expired as it does not have a expiry date on the card, but has a issue date of April 2021. Thank you.

Hi had two vaccines and a booster with a SIP card that’s been out of date since February 2020. We only have private health cover.

I am on the understanding being a resident that if you are receiving a uk state pension or a benefit? You can apply for a works and pension S1 form and take it to your local Spanish social security office and once approved you receive a permanent SIP card. Myself being early retired and resident here in Spain and not entitled for a S1 I have private health insurance, this did not cover Covid, so went along to my local health centre with my TIE, passport, private health insurance card, a up to date padron and a Spanish mobile contact phone number, I then was issued a temporary sip card for use only to receive Covid jabs. I am also on the understanding you will obtain a sip card if you pay into the Spanish health system. Hope it helps, stay safe and healthy my friend and merry Christmas.

My wife and I, both mid 50s, just went along to La Siesta Salud last week and registered there and then after we followed this link first. No problems, female staff member was excellent.

We were told it would January before we get booster.
