This is perhaps a crystal ball request but I'm in Spain til 28th Oct -is there any chance that the current Antigen test required before flying back 2 Scotland and Day 2 tests after arrival will be abolished for double vaccinated travellers?

I don't want 2 book tests then discover they're no longer required and no refunds possible!

When is the next travel review for Scotland?

You no longer need the day 2 antigen test before flying to Scotland but at present you still need to purchase day 2 PCR test for arrival although this may change. We travelled back to Glasgow last week with no problems.

As long as you are double vaccinated and can show proof of this no day 2 test before arrival in Scotland. Have a look at Scotgov website and this should reassure you.

Hi,

I have not seen it reported that Scotland will (or will not) follow England in changing the requirement to allow a antigen day2 test. At the moment the Scottish government website points you to the Gov.UK site for travellers returning from abroad. As the changes in England don't come in until 24th October you would need to check around the 24th..

Watch the Gov.Scot site for any updates.

Meanwhile I would recommend looking for the best options that suit you for both types of test and wait as late as possible to book as it only take's a few minutes on-line to book the tests. As you can only finalise the UK passenger locator form 48 hours before travel make that your deadline timeframe for booking.

As pointed out on another thread, above applies to fully vaccinated travellers, different if you are not fully vaccinated.

Aitch.
