Hi, I would love for this to happen,  and i would love to make some friends in the area,   meet for a chat and a coffee,  i do feel lonely,  i am from England .

I haven't heard back from anyone,

If you have Facebook take a look at the Ladies of Spain group.   They organise many social activities across Spain and particularly around here.  Whilst events are limited at the moment some coffee meet ups and lunches are still going on.  For example I know there is a weekly coffee morning in Guardamar.     If you join the group and post that you are looking to meet local ladies you are bound to get many responses.

Hello Nette

Just a thought....You have posted  your wish to make friends on the Torrevieja Forum but your location says El Raso? If you live in El Raso, start a new post on the Guardamar Forum which is much closer to you.  Without transport it would be very difficult to get to El Raso  from Torre, so you might have more success if you ask a bit closer to your home.

Cheers

There’s an art and craft group who meet at the Marina bar near the Habaneras shopping centre.  It’s across the road behind the fire station.  They are a lovely, friendly group.

Age Conern HQ in La Siesta hold coffee mornings, knitting club, Rummikub club and other activities on their premises. They have a website and Facebook page for more info.

I joined them a few months ago....Great, but the pandemic has affected it and I think it is closed again just now.

Are there any friendship groups that exist for the elderly who would appreciate friends and companionship due having lost their husbands or wives recently. It is something I am sure would be welcomed on Forums like this and give those who need someone in their lives a reason for meeting up with o...

...thers feeling the same.

Do any of these groups exist? Sounds like a great idea to sort some problems out.

Companions Club is exactly what your are looking for. Dont kbow the link so i out in a screenshot, that's for albir but they are actually all over Europe
