...suring that you are covid free. I picked up a pack of lateral flow tests from my local library yesterday, could pick up another pack today if I was so inclined!. But would not be allowed to use them, for the blatantly obvious reason. When you purchase your test kit, you will have to do the test at home, take a photograph of the result and send it to the provider for verification. When Transport sec Grant Shapps was questioned about this being open to cheating he is quoted as saying, it is based on trust! So blatantly obvious I’m surprised they are getting away with it, just to make money.
Whilst you may, indeed, be correct in your assumptions, why should we expect the NHS to pick up the tab when we decide to travel? We don’t expect them to pay for our flights or travel insurance, so why should we expect them to pick up the bill for our traveller Covid testing? IMO it’s only right that we pay privately. If we don’t like it, then most of us travel of our own volition, we can always stay put.
