We have been using the garden wastes skips which appear to have now gone . Does anyone know if there is a new way to dispose of garden waste.   We live in the Los fruitales area of Torrevieja .   Someone told us you can put the waste by the normal bin on certain days. N it will be collected however we don’t know if this is true or how it works.  Help.  Maureen

Hello Maureen

Down the road from you towards La Mata that is exactly what happens. Large branches /prunings etc. can be laid at the side of the bin & they will be collected by a different vehicle to the normal  crew who empty the basuras   - they notify that dept. when there is stuff to collect & it goes in a few days.

Small stuff  i.e. dead flower heads, small pruning I put in the basura ( I have no lawn so no grass to go)

This has worked successfully in my area for years as there are no Podas skips close to us.

Cheers

Hi everyone, We've recently moved to the El Chaparral/La Siesta area.  I've been told I need to phone a number for garden waste collection but can't find the number, can anyone pass that to us please, many thanks.
