Do I need a swimming pool?

Hello

My name is Phil. I'm a woman in my late 50s and I am currently looking for properties to rent long term in Torrevieja.
Something that I had really prioritised was a communal pool. I injured my leg a few years ago, and swimming is good exercise for it, but someone mentioned to me recently that most of the pools are only open 2.5 or 3 months of the year.
Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Thanks in advance
Phil

Our community pool is open all year normally, except when the state of alarm was declared, so it’s probably wise to ask before you rent.

I think most pools will be maintained in a safe and usable condition year round which only leaves the only question of what's the lowest water temperature you will swim in?

Some won't even look at a pool unless it's 30+ and in that case yes, you might only get a few weeks per year out of one.

Personally, and providing the sun is shining, I'll swim in 20c so can usually enjoy several months of use.

Thank you for your replies!

I'll make sure to ask about each swimming pool when looking at properties.
