Hello Sligogent,

Am also from SE Ireland with a quad in Playa Flamenca. We travel over by car each year in October great now with ferry from Rosslare to Bilboa. Approx 8 hour drive to Torreveija. Unfortunately did not get over this year due to covid so looking forward to October booked on ferry for 8th October. W...

...e are fortunate as we have had our 2 jabs of Pfizer vaccine just over 2 weeks ago. Cabo Roig has a great selection of bars and restaurants on what they call the strip. We live near Ferns, if you want to discuss anything we could meet up over a drink when we are allowed.

Thanks  for   replying,  Is  Ferry  operation   open  now  as  I  visited  Rosslare  last  Sunday   as  a  lot  of  talk  about  trucks  causing  chOs4  down  there  with  so  many  extra  sailing.

I  am   based  near  The  Ballagh  area, yes  I  would  love  to  meet  up  as  I  am  a  novice  about  buying  property  in  Spain,  but  I  am  thinking   about  cutting  my  ties with  Ireland,

Congratulations  on   getting   vaccine   with  all  the  chaos   over  Astra  Zennca

 Keep in touch

Morning  from  Sunny South East  of Ireland

The  other  Bunaglows  for sale is  with  Property  and  Villas in  Spain,  I  was  talking  to  Robert Lysdale,

Yes  Bunaglows   interest   me  as you  have  answered  a few questions,   is  Coba  Roig  a  Flat area,   I  would  expect  some noise as  it  a  Holiday /Tourists   area,  but  late  nightt  parties  loud  music   I  could  not  handle  like most  people  of  my  vintage,  I  enkoy  my  sleep  and  peace

The  neighbours  in  other Bungalow  I  am lead  to  believe  were British/Irish  as  Bungalow  had  gutters on  it,  a  rare  sight  in  Spain  I  was  told.

Yes  I  would  like to  view your  friends  Bungalow,  but  if  they  need fast  sale  I  would not  be able to visit  Spain  until  September  October  time,  as  I  will  not  travel  until  I   recieve  my  vaccine,   and  travel  is  permitted,,  i  have  no  date   yet  as  to  when  I  recieve  vaccine,  Things   in  Republic   are  moving  at  a  snails  pace  and it  one  bit  of  bad news after another,  Astra  Zennca.

I  was  going  to  ask you  if  you  would  recommend  that  Bungalow   and  area  to  friends  or  relatives,  Do  you  drive  over  there, I  suppose  a  Car  is  very  handy   for  Day  trips  shopping  etc

Sorry I haven't been able to find this one to give a view on it or tell you what I know about it.

Cabo Roig is mostly flat but going down to some of the beaches there is a hill and the road has a gentle slope to the coast from Playa Golf 2. It is a very popular area for cyclists, especially a bit more inland to San MIguel de Salinas where there are some really scenic routes, also some of them far more difficult!

Re noise everywhere you go in the summer months is busy and yes, some renters can be noisy but you can always get the community President to have a word with them and - if all else fails - the community is able to make the owner stop renting to problem tenants. Its the same the world over-some people are far more respectful of others.

Most communities are a boon for single people if you want company. You can be as involved or not as you wish. I spent a lot of time on a community whilst I found my feet in Spain but have now moved to a more secluded area inland. Moving can be expensive but I don't think I could have made the move from the UK directly to the area I am in now. You need a certain amount of handholding and pointing in the right direction at first.

I don't think anyone will be selling too quickly right now unless the actual EU members start coming along ready to buy. I will send you my friends contact info by PM and speak to her. I have purchased and sold personally  a few times with her and she does what she says and has a wealth of knowledge.

I would recommend that bungalow and area and I would also always have a car, bus services are there but not as reliable as you might wish and you wouldn't want to wait around in the heat of the summer, especially with shopping.

I would also pick the brains of as many people as you can - all knowledge helps make life easier, things can be done very differently here, but its all incredibly worth it. Good luck!

Hi  Ellie

Than3 again  for  valuable  information   and  it  won't  unotice,  They  are  several  of  Bunaglows   for  Sale  with  different  agents, All  much  the  same all  got  plus  and  minus

It  good  to  hear  that  area  is flat  as  jogging   is  one  of  my  hobbies,  Yes  noise  in  summer  months   would  have  to  be  accepted,   I  see  1  of  Bunaglows   up  for  Holiday  letting  on  Irish  property   site,  I  would   have  no  intention  of  renting,   1  bad  tenants  and  profits  gone,

Yes  to  get  to  know  people  in  community    you  have  to  be willing   to   get  out  and  about  and  make  the  effort,   Pubs  dont  interest  me  anymore   like  in  previous   year's,

I  have  seen  Bunaglows   at  reasonable prices   out   a  bit,  but  I  have  only  started  to learn  Spainish,   so  I  would  be  dependent   on  English  speaking   in  small  village,   and  they  might  be  thin  on  the  ground  in  rural  Spain ,Yes  talk  to  as  many   people   as  possible   with  Property  in  Spain,  and  I  will  pick  small  tips  here  and  there

There  is  more  positive   feedback  from  people   who   took  the  big  step  and  moved   to  Spain  than  negative   feedback,   I  am  now  researching   Health   service   in  Spain,  as  I  have  a few  minor  problem   and  Private  Health insurance  will  not  cover  them,  and  that  is  a  big  concern  for  me,  Holiday  insurance   will  i only  last   90  days   maximum,   so  giving  careful   consideration  to   that  issues  presently,   I   like  to  have  all  my  answers   and  not  go looking   for  them

You  are  a  great  help  to  me  and  hundreds   of  other  people   thinking  along  the  same lines  as  myself,  so    i  greatly appreciated  your advice

Keep  up  the  good work  and  Stay Stay safe

Phil

Hi Phil, ferries to Spain go from Rosslare on Wednesdays and Fridays. With current travel restrictions they may not be taking passengers at the moment. I know last year we were stuck in Spain from April until mid July because they were taking freight only. Their website is taking bookings, as I just checked. Keep safe, Zdenek

Thanks  for  information,   I  would   need   Transport  in  Spain  when  viewing   property ,  but  i  think  i  will  settle  on  Coab Roig  anx  Playa  Flamenla  and in  between,   but  doing  research  online  here and it  massive  help

But  on  a more  positive  note, numbers  are  going  down  and   vaccine  roll  out  is  ramping  up  all  over  Europe,  so  fingers  crossed

Generally the estate agents will collect you from your hotel and ferry you around.

It's up to you to decide what properties they have to show you that suit your requirements.

Yes our house is a 2 bed bungalow quad with a solarium and a fireplace in the living room. If you send me an email address I will send you some photos of our place to give you some ideas of a house in an urbanisation

[email protected],  Bungalow  in  Coab Roig  have  no  fireplace,  i  would  like  a fire  in  the  cold  months  in  evening

I  appreciate  any  tips  i  can  get, I  know  a  lot  of  estate  agents   have  the  same  property,   The  community   is  liable  for  road  maintenance   in  complex   is  that  correct,

Do  you  visit  Spain  in  July  August  time

What  monthly   charge  go  with  these quad Bungalow,  Electricity  Water  Insurance   I  understand   but  other bills  as  estate agents   might  not  come  100%  Clean  with  them

I  have no ties  in  Ireland   thinking  of  moving  over  permanently,  what would you think, I  am  into  keeping fit   jogging   and  walking  and  swimming   that  what attract  me to  Spain,  Been  down  in  Curracloe  twice  today

Hope  you  don't mind me  asking  you, as just  throwing   ideas out there at  the moment,  will  work  till  this time next  year   if  we  ever get back to  work
