Bit of an odd question does anyone know where I can buy an adapter 12volts to mains, so that I can plug in a cool box into the mains. Also a converter for a Spanish plug into a uk plug.
I’m going back to the uk and I’ve lost my adapters, so that I can run my cool box in my hotel room and on the ferry.

Do you mean ‘Mains to 12 volt’ ?
If you’re looking to convert 12 volts DC to 240 volts AC then you need an inverter, preferably a pure sine wave one.
But from you’re description I think you are converting the other way (ie) from 240 volts AC to 12 volts DC…… If so, then some electrical shops will have a transformer which should sort this but it may need to be substantial as the current (amps) may be quite big for a cool box.
The euro to UK 3 pin adaptors are available at airports/ferries or any Chinese type euro/pound stores.

Hi, the cool box has a car cigarette lighter fitted. Wot I had before let me plug that into a female, there had that a transformer type thing then the lead to a plug for the mains. Obviously wot I had was uk, but I’ve misplaced it, so looking to do something similar from Spain to uk. Thanks for response

Hi, thx for this. Typically we leave Friday so not got time to sort through post…. Partly coz I’ve never used Amazon in Spain. I thought mediamart or milar might do them, but was trying to just go to one shop.

It's entirely possible that Media Markt, Euronics etc sell what you want. The difficult part is to ensure that the plug on the adapter fits the socket on the cool box. Ideally you would have to take it into the shop to check.

norauto, feu vert or decathlon will have them, an EU to UK adaptor can be picked up at most supermarkets or china shops. Decathlon may even have the EU/UK adaptor.
