18 tower blocks to be build in Torrevieja????

We used to like torrevieja but now prefer Torre de mar, much cleaner , nicer beach and nice people . No dog muck all over the place either.

Yes,far too many dogs here now,we have 8 across from us,all yappers.

Must say the pavements in our locality are tons better now,hardly see any dog mess.

No litter either.

Have to disagree about the Spanish folk being nicer,we have found 99% of Spanish folk are nice wherever you are.

Each to their own though.

Is your question regarding the dogs or the tower blocks?

I think anyone would be worried if an almighty big tower block started to get built in front of a property.

That number of tower blocks is really going to spoil a lot of views and if that’s one of your priorities when purchasing a property , you’d have to change your priorities or change location. 

As a generall guideline always assume that if there is a plot on land around you it will be built on at some stage, regardless of what you are told when you are viewing the property.  If the tower block plans for Torrevieja are accurate then I would not want to buy anywhere near them.

I understood there was a 4 story limit to apartment blocks in Torrevieja for many years now.

That is exactly why this thread has surfaced. The old exemption is gone and buildings can now be up to 29 stories, with planning permission.

Am I correct in thinking that 2 of these blooms are to be built by BARSKA PROPERTIES on the south side of Torrevieja?  Walking past yesterday, we saw the site, the hoarding showing an artist’s impression of the proposed blocks and a sales office. I must say, if we’re younger, I would talk my husband into selling our beloved house and buy one of the apartments overlooking the sea.  I cannot see anything wrong with the proposed building other than the height but the views from up there will be breathtaking.If you take the time to google the firm, you’ll see a futuristic video of the area and it’s quite stunning.   The price of these apartments will be steep but they will be worth the money.   
so,instead of avoiding buying in Torrevieja, I’d be putting my deposit down for one right now.
