Yes, take your time do not rush. A good agent won't pressurise you, so if they do, walk away.

Hi, I recently bought in La Siesta , I chose this area because I don’t drive and have found everything is pretty easy to get to. There are regular buses and it’s easy to get taxis . Most things are in walking distance , and a good mix of people that have been really friendly and helpful . But like the others said get a recommended agent and your own solicitor , and don’t get pressured as there are lots of property’s and do make a offer . The other bits of advice are make sure it has a habitation certificate and any work done on the property is legal . Good luck with your search and don’t rush anything 👍

Thanks for your help karrol
I have printed some properties off some in San Luis, el chaperal, torreta and torrevieja. We good location. It never says about communal fees or leasehold or freehold. Will just have to ask on the day I suppose!!

Hi Sandy, on my urbanisation there are no community fees, I wanted to steer clear of all that and complexes, have done that in the past and didn’t want to go down that route again ,just my own bills with no attachments. And ( I think ) a lot of the properties are freehold , my little bungalow is, but obviously can’t speak for other properties. And if you are thinking of renting out there are a ton of hoops to jump through, so look into that if you were thinking of holiday renting. Enjoy your search, it is good fun and exciting but keep your ‘head’ bit on and not your ‘heart’ bit, wander around and sit at some nearby bars /restaurants and get chatting to the locals for a more informed picture x

Thanks again
We are looking for a holiday home for now but don't want lots of monthly extras as we still have bills in UK. What happens if freehold runs out while your still living there?

If it’s freehold it doesn’t run out , that’s leasehold , La Siesta is defiantly worth taking a look at and the surrounding urbs , x
