I die a thousand deaths every time I see one.  When I am brave enough to spray one,it always runs towards me,as if to attack. The only time my Arthritis doesn't affect me,is when I'm running away from one!!  You need a medal,if you pick one up. 😱😲😮😱😲😮

Just after the last storms, our neighbour awoke to splashing sounds from the bathroom and found a big rat in his toilet. Instead if putting the lid down while planning to deal with it, he tried to catch it and was bitten to the bone resulting in numerous trips to the Health Centre. The council came and pumped poison down the sewers. The said that the rising water levels had concentrated the rats further uphill. Since then, we have kept the toilet lids down and always have a quick peek before opening fully!

How Horrible with the rats. I have heard that they can swim up and into the toilet. Apparently with the lock down food has been short so they are trying anything to get food even eating their own. Canibals .

Purchase the plug in Pest removal things, they are not expensive and they work.   I was looking for new ones recently and could not find them so I purchased some off Amazon.  You will need two at opposite ends of the house if a one story, one up and one downstairs if a house. ...

...  They do work I have had them for 19 years.

Dear Andrea

Could you send me details of the ones you purchased please. I bought 3 from the Ferretaria last year plus had house treated as I was getting quite a few (Sadly I have 3 drains in the road outside my house and they’re not treated very often) Despite this I have still been getting one or two every few days (although fortunately they do die still after a while)

They come in looking first food, so as well as leaving plugs in sinks, you need to sweep, vacuum and wash floors regularly. Any dust, crumbs will attract them. Also traps work.

I have plugs in sinks corks in overflows and clean and sweep daily. Unfortunately I have a dog so I’m limited with traps and spray

Just had a horrible experience with a rat here in the UK. I just went out to empty our swing bin with a black bin liner to our wheelie bin outside. I opened the bin top that suppose to be rat proof but guess what ? A rat in the bottom of the bin live scurrying around . I put a plastic bag in a few days ago with a few scraps in it. Nearly had a heart attack . It was jumping up trying to get out. Hope it is dead now as I put in a full bottle of bleach on it with boiling water.
