Yes, and if you want to take a lump sum from a pension pot, which is tax free in the UK, do so before you become a spanish resident otherwise you will pay tax on it in Spain.

2400€ assumes we will leave without a deal which will also have other impacts on people living here. If we are still resident under EU conditions then to be resident it’s about 700€ a month read Jim’s guides for a clearer understanding.
Very True no really knows, especially with an election around the corner, You would imagine the Spanish government would be concerned about any loss of income from Brits, so I would guess they will be flexible rather than rigid.
I don't believe Spain is in the position to dismiss any revenue source, I feel Spanish nationals resident in the UK will be treated fairly, time will tell of course.

i am from non EU country and have a residence without right to work in spain. we (non EU citizens) do not have to show monthly income but we have to show money about (2400+500 for every next person ) * 12 for one year residence. this money could be just at bank account. we are getting first residence for 1 year, then for 2 years, then last time to show money for living 2 next years, and then permanent residence for 5 years without any requirements for money.

WOW - You really have to prove a "monthly" income of €2400.00 for the first person then €500 per relative thereafter approx???
That's the first time I have heard of that amount - seems a bit high considering UK State Pensions are possibly some people's only income???
Yes that is true, I think some people are just generalising or just their opinion (which whilst welcome) may not exactly be 100% factual.

I do wonder if those that have property here & voted Brexit still support it knowing that others wanting to live the dream may not be able to afford it, possibility of non resident tax increasing and state pension being frozen.
