Now I have two sorts of covid certs. available.

Again, I checked on Apple site and it seems IOS 15 update does not allow scanning of bar codes, a lot of customers on the blog are complaining.  I'm going to Murcia this weekend and I'll take the document into Apple and see if they can sort it out.

I'll let other iphone user know the outcome.

Your other alternative is to download your covid cert to your phone, place it in a folder called “Covid” You can then click on the little box with an upwards arrow, which will give you the option to add to your Home Screen. It now just looks like an app on your phone. I’ve added my TIE card to the folder, so my covid certificate and photo ID are together when I need to show them.
