John is the perfect gentleman. Once when Margaret and friends went for a meal, and I couldn't go for a reason I can't remember, he gave Margaret a free bottle of wine for me. And whenever you go there for a meal, there's always something he gives away for free - often a liqueur of your choice at the end of the meal. And if you're just having a menu del día and don't fancy the pasta dishes, he'll rustle up chicken etc.
