Monthly billing comes into play when you have a smart meter fitted.

Iberdrola bill on a monthly basis, ours is usually between 25 and 30 euros. Check out their website and register to use their Virtual Office which will help to understand billing and tariffs.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Hi

we went into the Iberdrola office when we were out last month and apparently according to them, all bills will be monthly now.  The standing charge is about the same (ie approx €13 every 2 months now €6.5 a month).  When we went in, they gave us a 6% reduction on standard rate prices and also explained the off peak periods which has been very helpful. I think this will definitely reduce our bills.
