This is weard I had quired my bill and was told that I was paying for maintenance for any electrical breakdowns which was carried over from the last tenant. However I'm paying between 50 and 60 Euro per 55 days whilst not in use

I would have thought you Solicitor would have held money back when you purchased the property till they were sure all debts had been paid otherwise you will inherite the debts.and Electricity and water are the obvious ones to check.

I am convinced that any Holiday homes that are Registered in the last 2 years are penalised by paying the most expensive tariff (tourist rates!) - I have finally corresponded with an English speaking Customer service Agent and apparently they have 2-3 different Tariffs but would never give you the option of the others unless your ardently queried - they have been sending my hard copy Bills to the wrong address for over a year but claim they cannot change the Billing address  so I intend sacking Iberdrola and moving my supply to Fernie - cheaper and friendlier!

It was November 2015 that we started with Iberdrola and had never had any problem with them having been put on an acceptable tariff from the beginning of our contract ( 3.45 Kw ). Registering Online to use the Virtual Office gets rid of paper billing and you can access the full bill Online over a week before the charge is due to be taken by Direct Debit from our Bank account.

We have had no problems with the electricity at 3.45Kw, we use air conditioning in Winter on heating settings, Summer on cooling settings, we have the television, fridge freezer, washing machine, water boiler and lighting.

As our apartment is still being used as a holiday home we do very little cooking, only kettle, microwave and toaster. Maybe things will change when we are there on a permanent basis.
