GC from VC. I also have been thinking along the same lines with my property in Spain. I don't know how easy it is to set up a foreign trust to administer a property in Spain but I would imagine it has been done before. Many companies operating in Spain are registered overseas and operate successfully within the EU. What I have yet to investigate is how their foreign status effects their tax situation. I have yet to hear of a company being charged inheritance tax if one of the directors dies. I believe, from other reports, that occasionally some EU countries have reverted, when it suited them, to their national laws instead of the EU. This seems to go unheeded for some time until a challenge is launched.

Hi.......yes agreed I dont think it is or will be straight forward but can't imagine it be too hard. The last thing you want is a legal battle.

My Spanish property is currently in trust as part of my UK estate.  Sounds all really great but theres not a lot

Keep me informed how you get on.
