positivley nothings going to change their system as dumping mail into the nearest box seems to be their way of doing deleveries

Doing nothing does not get you anywhere!!!

Always Torrevieja residents on here moaning and bad mouthing Correos.  It's only the Torrevieja office it seems that gives poor service and nobody does anything except go on expat forums etc to moan about it.

I've always found the delivery service and the post office staff to be excellent.

In fact, living out in the depths of the campo, where Correos dare not venture, we do not even have an office in our local village. Our Apartado is in the adjacent small town.

One day, a couple of years ago, I had a phone call from the village Ajuntamiento. There is a letter addressed to your husband, with your home address and the person from Correos doesnā€™t know where it is or what to do with it. Can you come down and collect it, the Correos will wait for you.

I would think that could be called ā€˜serviceā€™!!!

Hi,

A few times I've replied when people have had problems in or around my area in Torrevieja as we don't really seem to have any problems except the occasional delayed card. Maybe it's because we have the postbox on our garden wall or because we've been here 17 years we just don't notice anymore. I agree that if you have a problem go direct to the source to complain and hopefully get some progress or even the town hall.

Hope you all have a great weekend :)

If you're mail regularly goes in the wrong box, are you quite sure you've given people the correct address? In particular, i've known people who live in blocks of flats who've been confused by the word "bajo" and not included it in their address, or alternatively, used the word when they are NOT on the ground floor. Hence, a confused postman.

A few months ago, I spoke to a bloke who was renting a flat and having trouble with his mail. His landlord had given him the address for mail - I had a look and it quoted both the ground floor and the 3rd floor - so it's a 50/50 bet for the postman!

Cheers

Steve

For the past seventeen years, I also have mail left in wrong boxes !  My address is S2 and my surname consists of five characters.  For some unknown reason, my fabulously educated 1980ā€™s postie, deposits my mail in another box, which is E2 and the surname consists of eight characters !  Unfortunately the other family are only here twice a year, obviously not in the past couple of Covid 19 periods.  So how much is in the other box which should mine, heaven only knows. Ignorance is bliss as we all know, but words cannot be printed as to why some are as thick and uncaring as we experience !  Sympathy all round to thousands of sufferers who are looking at brick walls.

Bonjour and thank you...

I digress...

The good point that you make, regarding 'Thousands of people who face brick walls'?

It is a sad fact of life, that some people who re-locate here, WITH their partners, sometimes are unfortunately left 'alone', some of them find the strength to return to their home country, but there are, also a LOT who don't have that option., and for many reasons, they are unable to.

I would really like to reach out to these unfortunate souls, but who do they speak to, for help and advice?

Of course, there ARE organisations who are happy to help, Vega Baja and many others, but at the same time, they may even find THAT scenario difficult to face.

Maybe we ought to attempt to 'organise' a 'social' aspect for our residents, no, I don't mean a 'singles club', and should anyone come up with a possible solution on this, then I would be delighted to hear from them.

For the lovely people who may find themselves in this situation, please don't be afraid to request help, we are all here to help, just utilise this great Forum to reach out. There is NO shame in this, I GUARANTEE you!

Thank you once more...šŸ…±ļøā›¾.

Yes, Torrevieja region again.  Get together and do something about it. My sister has lived on Villamartin for 20 years and I've never heard her complain about missing post!

We never had a problem with our mail until our regular postie stopped delivering our mail, dont know if he left the company or got transferred to another round, but that's when things went t*ts up. Since then the deliveries have stopped, day after day I watch the post person drive by our mail drop and wonder how not 1 property in 50 has no mail day in & day out, law of averages says someone must be getting mail just not our mail drop it seems.
