Are you referring to the discussion on the Andrew Marr show on Siunday, there is a good article on the BBC covering the government approach, worth reading. Yes, there is some risk but the benefits are seen as outweighing the risks. The natural break that will occur at Easter is good timing as it ...

...allows more time to analyse infection rates, plus boost further the numbers vaccinated.

Aitch.

The children need to be back in school they have been off for a whole school year now. They are the future and need their education as well as it being better for their mental health. I have 6 granddaughters of varying ages and all in their own way have severely missed school. They are like different children now they are back.
I do get what you're saying we are all fed up with it but we have to start somewhere and hopefully your mum has had her first vaccination so we are getting there slowly. We all have to be patient. I wish you well

What about our Mental health. We have been stuck in for over a year now. Jonson has not a clue what he is doing. Everything he has done has been stupid and cost lives.

Yes we have all suffered in one way or another but we are alive so I think being patient for a while longer is not too high a price to pay. I lost two close relatives to covid so whatever it takes to try and get over this we must be prepared to do and think ourselves lucky we still here

I don't think that opening of schools is the right way to go. My friends friend nearly died after getting the virus his children brought into the family home from school. They have said even if the R rate goes above 1 with the schools making the rise of the virus they will still want to keep them open. I disagree 100%. Sorry about your losses of relatives . Jonson needs to think before he does these stupid act's and needs a urgent hair cut. I suggest a number 1 might be the best thing to tidy him up.

Well I think we have to agree to disagree on this. I'm glad your friends friend did not die. As for Boris well I don't personally know him so I'll refrain from commenting on his appearance as I'm sure neither of us is perfect and to be honest he has made mistakes as we all do in life. Unfortunately for him he had no experience on how to deal with this but I sure wouldn't have wanted to be in his shoes. Actually I think a lot of English people have a very hard time dealing with rules ( I am English ) but am happy to do as I'm told if it means saving my and other peoples lives. I still think it's marvellous that the kids have gone back to school we can't go on like this forever. I am aware that the more we mix the more the r rate will rise but we are all getting vaccinated quite quickly and there lies the hope we will be able to deal with it all better very soon

Strange only my self does not agree with the schools. The virus when schools opened was at around 4700 cases, Now at 6700 cases so that is an increase of 2000 cases in just a few days. Wait till next week when it is back up to 10.000 then lets see what you all think . It is not rocket science.
