In the Valencia region all prescriptions are free for pensioners. If you are below pension age you will pay a proportion of the cost depending upon your income.

Hi I'm retired in receipt of uk state pension living in Alicante and I get 90% discount on my prescriptions they're not entirely free. Am I missing a trick?  Thanks

Perhaps you have an income over the threshold and are required to pay 10%.

I and my wife have been getting (absolutely) free prescriptions for over 4 years.
