Try Vrbo.com and holidaylettings.co.uk Both verify the License of the property and both allow you to message the owner to ask questions before you book.

Does your friend have a Tourist Licence because it is illegal to do short term holiday lets without one.? The fines are very high so, if she hasn't she can can get info on here as to how to apply....hopefully she has already acquired one.

Not sure why you have sent me this reply. I am not looking for a rental. However I will reiterate that it is important for both renter and owner that any property booked has a valid Tourist License. Your friend is required to include the License number in any advertising she does, regardless of where those ads are placed.
