I know the shops are closed tomorrow for Valencia Day,but Thursday is Spains National holiday,so can anyone tell me if the shops are open or closed then?

Most closed but places like Carrefour and Mercadona by Habaneras will be open as will Habaneras and Zenia Boulevard.
Monday the big closing day. Thursday shops not in designated tourist areas will close.

I have never seen any Mercadona open on a holiday, any community or national holiday. Tourist location or village...

Monday, the 9th October, was only a Regional holiday (Dia de Valencia) but Thursday, the 12th October, is a National holiday (Dia de Hispania).
