I know this may sound random but I am helping a family member plan a safari trip to either Kenya or South Africa. Can anyone recommend a good travel agents? This can be either in the internet or in the UK. Many thanks.

Hi,
Before retirement we were fortunate enough to safari in many African countries (Kenya, Zambia, Botswana etc). we never managed South Africa though. A good place to start for ideas would be with Kuoni, we only used them once but we had an excellent time, but whatever, it will give you the flavour of what is available.
It really depends on what your family member wants, you can go from camping under the stars to luxury lodges, walking safaris, night drives....the list is pretty much endless.
The only thing I would say is most safaris are not cheap and in some cases can be eye-wateringly expensive - however we had some really great times and have so many memories.

Morning Audrey83, in recent years we have been on two fantastic trips to Aus/NZ and a fantastic 3 week trip to Sourh Africa with 4 days on safari in the Kruger national park. Our trips were both organised by Audley travel, every detail was meticulously planned and discussed, although a little bit more expensive we thought that the piece of mind it brought would be invaluable and so it turned out, check them out, you won’t be disappointed.
