Hello, we are in the process of buying a car here in Spain - any advice or information on best car insurance company's would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Get a fit-to-size insurance from an independent "corredor de sguros" who will find the most suitable for your needs. Car dealers and banks will rip you off. Both new and used cars in Spain are overpriced. For new vehicles get a quote and then look for the same vehicle in www.autoscout24.de or www.mobile.de. As an example: th same VW Tiguan priced in Spain at 35.000,- is offered in Germany for 19.000,- w/o VAT. (add some 7.000,- to register in Spain. The rason for this difference is that rather than for it's final price cars are sold according to the monthly installment. Consequently most car dealers have no interest in selling for cash.
Hard to beat Linea Directa for value and service.

Hardly a trap, each year when I have received my renewal notice a short phone call has always obtained a better deal when I have told them of a better quote from another company, always best to shop around and get a few quotes.

This is very helpful in terms of car purchase. Thanks! I'm with Reale Seguros. No issue with them, but suggest you make sure you get breakdown cover, and, if like me your Spanish leaves a lot to be desired, get a company with an English-speaking service!

Concur. I have compared others. They have always beaten them. ( since they were Knight Ins Brokers yrs ago) Always compare. ( I did'nt say .com) V

Car insurance in Spain covers the car so any driver with age limit and also road side assistance so not directly comparable.
