Obviously the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing and the notary was only their for the signing.Tomorrow we are meeting up with an Italian friend who has gone through the procedure and he has also confirmed what we had been told. On Monday I will inform the notary's office that we are not happy with their performance and that we wish to cancel our cooperation in this matter.
I will probably contact getlegalinSpain for the little extra costs, as recommended previously.
