I'm not moving out yet as there's just TOO much going on at the moment, but I am interested in finding out about different areas of Spain to visit with a view going back for longer in the future, Torrevieja is one of the areas I keep getting drawn to.
I am learning Spanish via Duolingo, the free version, some of which did actually come in useful when we visited Lloret de Mar last year ( even though they speak Catlan there ! )
Tenga un bien dia x 😁

A couple of websites that may be of help/interest are:
Citizens Advice Bureau Spain - for bureaucratic stuff, and
N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain. This site, and their Facebook page, is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and the website has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on it.

Hi Julie and welcome to the forum,
If you're a UK passport holder and need help navigating the changes for Brits moving to the EU, post-Brexit, then just ask. We now have many members who have moved to Spain with one of the visas available to Third Country Nationals and will be able to give you advice based on personal experience. Of course, if you're lucky enough to have an Irish passport, it's a whole lot easier!
Kind regards,
Kim

Hi there
I've an amazing home and group of friends in Torrevieja and weve got so much at reach. Walking distance and cheap bus route away.
I found a holiday rep and viewed loads of places, but I knew my home was the place for me
Please dont hessitate to ask any questions you might have

Hi Julie, welcome to this forum! I am South African-Irish, presently living in Ireland. I hope to relocate to Torrevieja in the near future on the strength of my EU passport - I completed a housesit in Torrevieja this summer and I, too, am very drawn to the area. I am also learning Spanish online via Duolingo and find it really fun and enjoyable. Great to hear you found the language website useful.
Kind regards
Clare

Hola Julie, your post sounded identical to me lol! Torrevieja seems to draw me from what I've read too, due to my health. Duolingo is good, although you move on to the next level & see new words you haven't learnt yet lol. Maybe meet up one day if you move out there. My move has now been confirmed in my mind, due to mortgage increases here in April, when my fixed rate ends! Adios x
