Why a caravan?  You can buy a flat in Catral or Crevillent for the same price!!   And it increases in price!!   Review your options before deciding.

Kind regards

Richard

I bought a lovely van ( very cheaply) on a great site, in the mountains. Like you, I want to spend part of my time there. ( in th e winter  months. ) Annual costs are around £3,500 - £4,500, covering ALL bills. A house, maintaining it, local taxes ,etc, would be a lot more ( I should think) I love my van life, but like the last post advised, look into it carefully. (Maybe stay in a van, for a few months) Good Luck!!

Irenepat is absolutely correct.

There are 8mtr caravans for sale with awning. Centre double bed and every thing that opens and closes.

There are also caravans that are already pitched.Full kitchen washing machine etc..

These you can purchase for about 6 grand.

As Irenepat said average cost per year is €4000,00 including all Bill's.

ADVANTAGES.

You will live in a friendly community.

You will meet people from all over the world.

You will be able to do what you want. Whilst your away you will know your home is safe.

When retired you need to have people Around you, in case of an emergency.

How many people  would you meet in a €60k flat?

It will take ages to make friends with your nebours.

Forget about a flat Mate go camping.

I would get a van from UK, have it taken over and live in it for 2 seasons and make you're mind up. The weather was to hot for me July August and into September I'm now rethinking what to do. The van sold for double the money. I'm going over to Poland to look at a farm 2 woods a big field one house and a log cabin 40 thousand, you have options.

I had a two bed apartment in torrevieja and yearly costs just over 2000 so lot cheaper. Caravan hot in summer . Better off with bricks I think

Each to their own now, let's not start getting into "this is better than that..." scenario! I prefer solid brick too, but get the concept of caravans for those who prefer them!

I was merely pointing out that the person had hugely overestimated the cost of running an apartment. As for choice re caravan/apartment then that a personal preference .
