Hi,

I'm afraid there are probably thousands of people who already live here in the same situation. Since the Covid problem many businesses are virtually bankrupt and some have not reopened since the lockdown. There have been thousands of workers made redundant.

I don't know what sort of work you would prefer but it would be almost impossible to to find employment in the tourist industry such as bar work or cleaning etc. Hundreds of hotels are closed up now until next March 2021. Can you speak Spanish? It would help for any future possibilities of finding employment when the industry picks up (maybe) in summer 2021.

After 1st January 2021 you will need a visa to enter Spain and finding work (unless you are offered a job beforehand) virtually impossible. There will also need masses of paperwork including high income levels and healthcare to become legal residents from next year.

I know it sounds harsh but that's the reality of Brexit and the Covid situation.

The coast (any) is definetely not a place for employment other than services (if you are familiar with the language). There are may companies and British managed industries in Spain. Check with the British Chamber of Commerce  http://www.britishchamberspain.com/bolsa-empleo.html

Good luck.
