Gosh, last reply whilst being true about little work available, was very abrupt at telling them to abandon all hope of ever moving to Spain. I am sick of reading how theres no work available, when I have posted many posts requiring jobs to be done on my property and getting no responses.I am 70kl...

...ms north of Alicante which ok is quite a bit of fuel cost for coastal workers but at the seemingly going rate of 100€ per day for labour even a cost of 20€ for fuel still gives a worker 80€ in his pocket and given my jobs have all needed at least a weeks work would equate to 400€ or more to pocket. I have a fencing job at the moment posted, and again no replies, so I,m sorry to say I dont think the majority of workers complaining about lack of work really want it unless its on their doorstep. I hope family7 dont lose all hope after your comment to give up now.

I’m looking for some and I agree €80 day is better than nothing and you’re in Spain. Sounds great. Any jobs :-) though Iv not made the permanent move yet

We currently live in rural Devon near the coast, there are no jobs here unless you want to commute miles and you have a degree. All the pubs unless owned outright are dead as are the restaurants. Where we live its all manual labour which we don't mind but the bloody weather is crap. If we get that way we will gladly do work that you need if we move close enough. Also I will never let go of my dream, if we don't follow them we will regret it, and if it goes wrong, just go elsewhere. :-)

I'm a brickie by trade, I didn't come here to work and my small pension covers my living costs but I'd be happy to take on a few small jobs within reasonable travelling distance.
