I have looked into the health insurance and some of the financial issues and legal stuff.. some of which is different depending on who’s advising... we are hoping to get proper advice from someone in Spain. I’ve seen lots of companies advertising services but we are going to check out the are...

...a we are interested in and then go from there! I’m fully aware it’s not a case of packing a bag and jumping on a plane. Although there’s a lot more involved than we originally thought. Which is why I joined this group to try and get a better insight :-)

I can personally recommend Uma at getlegalinspain.com. Have a look at her website and her facebook page. Uma will stay with you for however long it takes and is always there for when the unexpected happens, all at reasonable rates for a fantastic service.

As this is Spain, don't think the differing advice will change, it is only likely to get worse as each Town Hall does their own thing:

Was it Villas who posted that clip of a woman trying to get something done at the town hall? It was classic, if anyone can find it, please post it again so I can save it.

For Health Insurance you can't go wrong with Alfonso at Gran Alacant Insurances, see their advertisement down the right hand side of the Forum Homepage, he has helped us with our Private Health Insurance and I cannot recommend ho¡im highly enough.

Alfonso gets my vote as well, I heard he was helping people with the September flood claims even if they held no insurance with him. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for him.
