To obtain a Padron do I need to spend 30 consecutive days or is it a 30 day period over the year? I have already spent a 1 1/2 months already and looking to go back in a couple of weeks.

In short to be on the padron you need to be Spanish resident.

Years ago you only needed to own a property to sign on the patron. The more that signed up the more facilities that area got.

Must have all changed now

You have to be resident over 90 days a year to sign on Padron

I disagree - spending only 90 days in a property doesn't make you a habitual resident in Spain.
