Hi all
Looking at buying holiday home either Torrevieja, Playa Flamenca of Costa Calida beach resorts. Can you give me your pros & cons of the different areas?I know different places suit different people but would just like to way up the differences.

You will certainly have many questions and these two sites may be of help.
Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for general queries regarding NIE, bank accounts, utilities and many other items.
N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain. It is run by Guardia Civil officers in Torrevieja for English speaking people.
That’s not really an answer to my question but thank you anyway.

I realise that my original answer did not really answer your query but thought that the two sites would be of help with the bureaucracy that you may come across (there is a lot of it in Spain). I do not know much about the places that you mentioned as I live inland from Torrevieja and do not travel to them very much.
Ah thank you. I didn’t mean it to sound rude. We are learning as we go along via these helpful groups & internet research before we fly over in October. The areas I mentioned are areas we seem to be drawn too so was just looking for others opinions although I do understand what suits one doesn’t suit another!

Torrevieja is a busy built up area whereas Playa Flamenca is quieter but has a lot going for it. There is a weekly market and a short walk to La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre which has everything. It also has lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Depends what you are looking for. I dont know about your other option.
