Is there a main area for the ex pats?

Hi , we are currently renting in the mar menor region but are thinking of 're locating to torrevieja .  Drove up a few times and there seems a lot more going on, we don't really want to live in the centre in the apartments ....my question is, is there an area where ex pats seem to congregate ie with bars doing live music , karaoke,  sunday roasts etc

Thanks in anticipation

The Torretas, San Luis and La Siesta have the largest ex-pat communities in Torrevieja with the sort of bars you mention so would advise to look around these areas!

When I say main area, I mean away from the tourist bit down by the marina. While I think it's lovely there with a lot going on, I would not want to live on top of it if you know what I mean

Hi

You should consider just south of Torrevieja. Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia etc. There's lots of what you're asking for in this area.

Cheers

Hi we lived in torrevieja for six months near to the sea front .love the beach and bars but didn't want to live in the middle of it . We are currently in la zenia and have just bought a property in playa flamenca. We have found la zenia and playa flamenca and around more to our liking with lots of expats in this area .Your in the thick of it if you like or a 10 min walk your in a nice quite suburb. Hope this helps . Good luck.
