Doubt very much that airlines will accept, not because it is tools, but because it is electrical.

DHL probably will, as they own their planes, which only carry cargo.

Suggest you do as someone has previously suggested, buy a new one in the  UK.

Cheers, J

I've carried numerous tools and electrical items in hold luggage, it is highly unlikely that a boxed electrical sander, when the case goes through the x-ray machine, will be identified as anything of risk - i'd certainly chance it

Unfortunately the poster is dispatching to the UK which will incur additional paperwork (customs) and postage costs due to the UK being outside the EU and unless sent by DHL or similar courier service it will take much longer to reach its destination. Another advantage of Brexit!

Of course, you are right, forgot about the obstacle of Brexit,

I too have carried many electricals incl a spin dryer, OH YES I DID, and another visit a sewing machine, few years ago mind. In hold luggage, spinner fitted in huge holdall and taken via the ski and sports goods desk. I go by ferry now but as getting too expensive, why has Brexit affected this as we may now start going back to flying. If goods are old personal property dont see the problem. We take our 2 sky boxes over every time and would just have hand luggage only.
