I need a digital passport photo done to complete the online application. The photo will need to be emailed to me or I can save to a USB stick. At home in IRL the local pharmacies will take these but not here. Anyone know where can I get one done in the Torrevieja area?

Thanks Rob, so do the Irish passport office, but I've always had issues taking it and having it accepted. I might try again, we'll see if I can locate someone to do it who's experienced.

They are a pain in the backside, we’ve had photos rejected that looked great for no reason & others accepted that weren’t as good 🤔

Yep exactly the same. I did get someone to take it in the local pharmacy in Dublin and it was accepted. Must have taken 4/5 attempts.
A UK friend here got one done in Los montesinos, I'll see if I can find it and post details.

A photo taken with an iPhone is acceptable using the online application setup. When you upload your photo, it will either accept or reject it, just make sure you have no shadow and do not crop the photo, the system will do that. However, as Ireland is in Level 5 lockdown and the passport office is only processing emergency passports, either for bereavement or medical needs. I know this because my wife’s passport application is currently stalled. We were told that until Ireland returns to level 4, no passports will be processed and I can’t see that happening for a few weeks at lea

Thanks Gerry, I see that the passport office is in level 5. A friend traveling here in May might be able to bring my passport. I'll chance the pic and see if it works out.

We got one done in Imagenfoto corner of Calle Ramon Gallud and Calle Patricio Perez. Were given printed ones and asked for digital copy extra 5 euros. Used it for passport no problems.

Ann, thanks so much for this. I ended up having my passport couriered over to me and it should arrive today. The passport office in IRL is closed until level 5 restrictions are dropped which is likely to be in March sometime, but I'm going to apply for my passport card and a new passport now,even though it doesn't expire until 2024. I don't want the hassle of this again. I'll drop down and get the ball rolling on this at Imagen. Many thanks!
