Hi there, we're currently on holiday for a week at Pinar de Campoverde and we're curious to know what the fun fair at Torrevieja is like as we've got our 3 year old grandson with us on his first holiday abroad. Also, is the night market on every night or just certain ones? Finally are there any other markets around where we currently are located between now and Friday night?

Thanks, Paul

There is the weekly Friday market in Torrevieja. I have not been so cant comment on the quality or choice of items sold, but I have heard it is a very large market.

Thanks TP20. Is that a day or night market? I can imagine it'll be a tad warm if it's the day time.

Hello

It's  a Friday morning market...Very big, very crowded ( at this time of year) & this week- very hot!! There are cafes & stalls for refreshments & good toilet facilities + lots of parking in or around the market and it really does sell everything ...Buses  are available from Torrevieja Interchange, nr the Harbour area.

As a local, I never go in July/Aug because of the reasons above , but with this spike in heat right now I wont be going in June either hahaha

Cheers

Night market in Torrevieja is  open every night.

The evening fun fair in Guardamar is definitely suitable for your grandson.

That and the market is situated on the road between the parks.

Thanks Lynn. I'm guessing you mean Reina Sofia Park? Any ideas what time the fun fair is open til? And is the market on every evening?

Thanks Elinspan. I think we'll avoid the Friday market given the weather (not complaining though).

We'll see what we can elsewhere.

Yes, that’s the location .The fair is at the beach end of the road.

I’ve not been down that way this week, but the stall holders said they were opening last weekend, a bit earlier than normal as it’s usually the 15th June when the market opens. The fair has been open for a good few weeks.

Both the market and the fairground close earlier during weeknights, time is dependent on how many people are around, but it will be at least midnight.  Weekends they generally stay open till 2am. Fiesta time is even later again.
