Could not agree more about the witch with the mad eyes, but paying for a miracle vaccine is not in any way comparable with Thatcherism. Having the means to pay for things such as that does not = the selfish nasty im alright Jack attitude of Thatch and her followers.

Oh, oh. Watch what you say now. 😁. Somebody mentioned Boris Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon last week, and all hell broke loose. They were told that they were insulting 50% of the forum members. Then the post was locked down.

No......but i am in the process of buying a property to permanently live there......giving up my home in the UK for other families to start a new life.........were i could have rented it out and profiteered from it from others, as it is mortgage free.

Well played Tam you have turned this debate around I feel like I am the selfish one now. Both my properties are also mortgage free but they are for my kids and grandkids to do with what they want when me and wife have gone to another area I personally don’t give a dot about providing for others sorry ,but enjoy your new adventure sure you will.

Ray, it's more about trying to get people to open their eyes and not them thinking about......me me me.

In the UK on a thursday, they stand at the doors and clap for the NHS (i'm all for the NHS), but....and a big but!......this is all driven by social media and standing at the door clapping, (no NHS workers in sight) doesn't lift the NHS spirit. What I do is......if im out walking my dog or exercising and see an NHS worker.....i shout over encouragement and tell them what a great job they are doing......I see the spirits lifting and the smile on the faces ......and for 10 seconds, that person is left feeling good.

It's too easy just following the pack (social media) and doesn't take effort.

Let's all really help one and other and don't buy up every bit of produce we can squeeze in our cupboards and don't buy every face mask going around.

Ray and everyone else on the site........Keep Safe.

To blame 2nd owners is crass to the extreme. The fact is we live and were raised in a society owned by very evil and powerful people and some on here call the small guy gals the greedy ones. The system is truly working in full effect against the short sighted ignorants. Divide and rule is another term. I am stunned some still eat their narrative with gusto.

Tam I am afraid your preaching about the NHS to the Converted both my Daughters are frontline staff at one of biggest hospitals in Birmingham the ward my one daughter manages  aCorvd 19 only.but both of them have been emotionally touched by neighbours companies that have shown their appreciation at home shops and in traffic jams so I do think your comments are a touch hard on people. I have told my daughters I think the clapping should now be once a month before it melts away into something people lose interest my Daughters both agreed they have been appreciated and it’s a job they love and get paid for.

Having just retired from the fire service after 30 years service and my wife still currently working for the NHS I understand the appreciation for key workers and frontline staff. I shows that some of the lowest paid workers really do the jobs that matter.

I really worry and feel certain that these groups will end up paying for the government financial support in the next 10 years of austerity.

Todays hero is tomorrows forgotten public sector worker 😡

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

It’s in place of musical instruments and is not disrespectful here. Just hope they all get a pay rise and not have it frozen as predicted. Hate this fover
