I also use Transferwise...just done my regular 700€ transfer and achieved a rate of 1.13...requested it this morning and in the bank account already.

Be aware that if you use your debit card to transfer the money to them their fee is higher and hence you get a lower raeturn. If you use bank transfer to their account the fee is very low and you get a rate that usually beats currencies direct and all the others.

Hi Barclays will only transfer 50K unless you go into the branch personally then they will transfer larger amounts! not helpful when you are in Spain but it is to protect you.

Hi there have used transferwide and they are very good. Not sure whether to do a large final transfer through them or not though.

That's who we used currencies direct and through a solicitor and a great estate agents we had no bother whatsoever

I use transfer wise it’s cheapest I could find for doing regular transfer and they message you constantly with updates .

Hi there 

Hope everyone is keeping well and safe, we have a holiday home in villamartin and we are due to come out in August, does anyone know if we have to bring documents?may be a bit early for that question, but it's just so we are prepared.
