Does anyone know who to contact to report what I believe to be an illegal car, which after 13months is still on UK plates.

Go to:

www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk

Confirm it hasn't got a current MOT or road tax; take a photo of the screen; take a photo of the car on a public road; show them to the police.

Are you sure it’s illegal? I travel backwards and forwards regularly but as I don’t spend more than six months in total in Spain during a twelve month period I am legal with UK mot road tax and insurance from Saga which covers me for twelve months European travel.

Definitely not legal, been on UK plates for over 14months and gov website confirms mot expired long ago ditto tax.

Makes me think it will also be uninsured.

Well even if it is insured it won't be valid without an MOT

I would try to get out a bit more. Build a bridge and get over it.

Why do the English so like to report others for legal infringements of whatever kind. When I came to Spain you got 10% of the fine as a commission. Not now thank God. The days of Franco are well and truly over. Sometimes I think those days are coming to England with its cameras and other means of surveillance. I find this urge to report others rather disgusting - why not leave law enforcement to the authorities! Next time it could be YOU that gets denouced!

Are you the sort of person that would turn his back if there was a robbery , stabbing , and anything else illegal? If you are then I hope it doesn’t happen to you and you are hoping for witnesses to help, this is the same , that car if parked on my street illegally I’d want it removed too, god you try and help and get accused of “ sticking your nose in” no wonder the world is going to ruin, id report it in a instance and btw it isn’t a English thing I’ll tell you what it is “ it’s the right thing to do “ that’s what it is

I totally disagree, AP.

If someone driving an illegal vehicle, possibly without insurance, or which would be null and void if the vehicle is illegal, kills or injures someone else or damages their vehicle, then the injured party has little chance of making a claim.
